Bringing community together
Each year, Barrie School hosts its annual celebration and fundraiser to bring our community together to raise critical funds for the Barrie School Annual Fund.
With an array of items in both the live and silent auctions, this annual event generates friendly, competitive bidding and a lot of fun, not to mention funds for the Annual Fund. For 90 years, Barrie School has inspired excellence, intrinsic motivation, and responsibility through innovation in learning. From our beginnings as the Peter Pan School on Allison Street, NW with 13 students, to our current, 45-acre campus in Silver Spring with over 350 students, we have a proud, and long-standing commitment of honoring our founder's vision, through our current mission and values.
Ante up and get ready to roll!
On Saturday, March 2, 2024, the Barrie School community will come together at this annual fundraiser to support our students, teachers, and staff.
Join us at “Casino Night” to roll the dice, up the ante, and cash in your chips for what promises to be a night of fun and philanthropy!
Make new friends, bid on fabulous items in our live and silent auctions, play the odds and raise your paddles–all in support of our wonderful school! Have fun with the theme and dress accordingly!

There are over 75 country flags displayed along Barrie Campus Drive. Each year, the flags are replaced as they become worn and tattered. Flag sponsors help keep our flags flying! This sponsorship is offered annually and is now available!

Catch a Wave 2023
Thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored, volunteered, and attended the 2023 annual benefit, Catch a Wave, on March 4. Thanks to your support, we raised over $63,000, all of which will benefit the students and programs at Barrie. Thank you to the very generous Barrie community and to the team of volunteers and staff members who helped put this event together.
