A gift made to Barrie School supports our vision to maintain Barrie's academic excellence and strong tradition of diversity.
There are many ways to invest in this vision including gifts to the Annual Fund, securities, corporate matching gifts, and in-kind donations of goods or services. In addition, Barrie School allows donors to make recurring gifts through bank debit.
The Barrie School Annual Fund
The Barrie Annual Fund is rooted in providing for the health of our community to ensure strength and stability for future generations. It is the cornerstone of all fundraising at Barrie. The Annual Fund is comprised of gifts from parents, grandparents, alumni, trustees, faculty and staff, alumni parents and friends. These gifts are unrestricted and support our students in tangible and measurable ways. Contributions of cash, checks, or money orders are accepted. Checks should be made payable to "Barrie School Annual Fund". You can also make your gift online with a credit or debit card.
Endowment Giving
Investing in Barrie School’s endowment is an effective way to ensure the long-term health of the School. Barrie’s endowment supports financial aid, faculty, and operations.
Stocks, Bonds, and other Securities
A gift of appreciated securities could provide you with a sizable tax deduction
Corporate Matching Gifts
An easy way to increase the amount of your contribution to Barrie is by finding out if your employer has a matching gifts program. Check with your Human Resources department to find out if there is such a program. If one exists, request the matching gift form, complete the donor section, and send the form to the Barrie School Office of Institutional Advancement.
Planned Giving
Supporters can help insure the long-term security of the school through planned giving. Gifts of this nature can be made in the form of a will bequest, life insurance beneficiary, or through a retirement plan.
In-Kind Contributions
Contributions of goods and services are also accepted.
Annual Community Celebration and Benefit Auction
You can donate an item, become a sponsor, make a cash donation, bid on items, and attend the event!
Harris Teeter's Together in Education program also helps raise funds for Barrie. Simply give the cashier our code, 4070, and your VIC card when you check out. Barrie School will receive a percentage of your Harris Teeter brand purchases credited back to our account.
The Giant Food A+ program permanently ended on June 30, 2019.
