SHUTTLE BUSES

Barrie offers free morning and afternoon shuttles for students age 12 and up to Poplar Run and the Glenmont Metro station. Please complete and return the Shuttle Bus Permission Form to sign up.

Morning

8:10 am	Poplar Run pick up at the intersection of Moonlight Trail Dr. and Hideaway Pl.
8:12 am	Poplar Run pick up at the gazebo across from the intersection of Poplar Run Dr. and Soaring Wing La.
8:15 am	Arrive at Barrie

Afternoon

3:25pm	From Barrie to Poplar Run; drop off at intersection of Moonlight Trail Dr. & Hideaway Pl.
3:30pm	Poplar Run drop off at gazebo across from intersection of Poplar Run Dr. and Soaring Wing La.

BUS ROUTES

Barrie School currently offers two affordable daily bus transportation routes for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. The cost is $1,075 per year, per family (no cost for additional children). Please note that the same rate applies even if you choose to only take advantage of morning or afternoon service.

Bus Route 2: Bowie

SPECIAL BUS SCHEDULES

If only Montessori or Prep are closed, the buses will run as normal. If Montessori OR Prep have a half day, there will be two departure times. One following the half day dismissal routes and times with buses departing Barrie at 12:30 pm and one at the normal dismissal of 3:45 pm.

Please note that if there are no classes due to an all day professional development or all day conference day, there is no bus transportation. Half day professional or conference days will have normal morning and half day bus times.

Half-Day (Noon Dismissal) Bus Schedules

On half days, students will be dismissed at Noon, and buses will depart Barrie at 12:30 pm.

Times may fluctuate 5 to 10 minutes depending on traffic and road conditions. Please be at your respective stop 5-15 minutes before the scheduled time to greet your child(ren).

Early Closing Bus Schedules

In the event that Barrie School closes early due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the school will communicate bus departure times to parents once a decision is made.
