To prepare students for a more dynamic, complex, and uncertain world, schools must look and feel different. Barrie is the first school in the U.S. to implement the Global Impact Diploma to provide a pathway forward for our students.

We celebrate Dr. Kevin M. Creamer for his leadership, loyalty, and lasting contributions to Barrie. His impact—on individual students and on the community as a whole—will be felt for years to come.

Barrie's Upper and Middle School Counselor Meagan Hairston, has been selected as a 2025 ASCA Ambassador.

On Monday, February 3, Barrie School faculty, staff, and students will host the Academy for International School Heads OASIS Day, Washington DC. 

At a special student assembly during Alumni Homecoming Weekend, Barrie School honored Maryland Senator William C. Smith, Jr. ‘00 with the inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award.

After a harrowing escape from Afghanistan, Khalid Karim '24 moved to the United States and enrolled at Barrie School. Now three years later, he is a freshman at BU. 

A day of teaching and learning on topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and of course social justice with keynote address by Dr. Joshua Bennett.

The Middle and Upper School hosts an annual Conversations that Count  event for families and, on occasion, students. Check out the video from the latest event on Feb 27 and 28.
