The Barrie Family Association (BFA) mission is to support the Barrie School experience by fostering connection, collaboration, and communication among family, faculty, and staff.

Welcome, Families!

On behalf of the BFA, welcome to the 2025-26 school year! Whether you’re a new or returning family, we are excited to have you as part of this vibrant and diverse community. We look forward to a school year filled with meaningful opportunities for community connection, family engagement, and student enrichment.

Throughout the year, we will work together to host events, support school initiatives, and strengthen the sense of community that makes Barrie so special. The BFA serves the entire community. As a Barrie family, you're automatically a member of the BFA. We invite you to share your time, talents and passions with us to build a stronger, more connected community that directly benefits our students.

This year, we look forward to hosting family-friendly events and community gatherings, supporting teacher appreciation efforts, facilitating open and collaborative meetings between parents, caregivers, teachers, and administration—and so much more!

What to Know About the BFA

Sustainable Funding: Our events and activities are funded by the annual BFA fee of $100 per family.
Grade-Level Community Building: Each grade or level has at least one signature event designed to foster and strengthen connections between families.
Cross-divisional Community Building: The BFA organizes family favorites like the Welcome Back Pool Party, BONDfire, Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week, and more!
Volunteers Needed! Whether you have a few hours to spare or want to take on a larger role, there’s a place for you in the BFA! In addition to year-round leadership roles, many of our events offer one-time volunteer opportunities that are open to all.
