Barrie Camp employs a summer staff of over 150 counselors, specialists and leaders. Positions range from entry level to those that require specific training, education and experience. Working with children and their families demands a unique and personal commitment.
Our staff are the backbone of camp, and one of the aspects campers remember most! Staff members are carefully screened, educated, and evaluated prior to and throughout the summer. Our staff members are highlights of the Barrie Camp experience!
With the FDA fully approving the Covid-19 vaccine, all Barrie Camp staff will be required to be fully vaccinated. A employee who qualifies for a medical or religious exemption will be required to provide documentation of their exemption and provide our Camp Nurse with a negative at home test every week.
Working at Barrie Camp as a counselor was the best experience I've ever had. Not only was it the most fun job I've ever had, but it is the reason why I work as a teacher today.
