Athletics Overview

Our vision is to be a transformational athletic program that provides a positive youth sports experience in which we inspire and develop athletes to become the best versions of themselves in sport and in life.

Who we are and what we do

The athletic department is the heartbeat of Barrie School. It injects positive energy, fosters community connection, promotes overall well-being, and cultivates life skills. Barrie Athletics is committed to being an exceptional interscholastic athletic program that serves the school's mission. It provides a safe, challenging, and enjoyable environment for athletes, coaches, and supporters by ensuring that:

  • Our members feel welcomed, heard, and supported while they operate under socially, emotionally, and physically secure conditions
  • Our athlete and coach development is centered around reinforcing high moral standards while maintaining a focus on the technical, tactical, physical, and psychosocial areas of athlete growth.
  • Athletes and coaches emit excitement and passion at each practice, competition, and event.

Our 5 C's to Building Successful Teams

We sustain our positive culture when we act on our core values.
