Our application deadline for applicants for the 2025-26 school year is January 6, 2025.

A non-refundable $50 application fee is required. The admission process varies slightly depending on the grade for which you are applying and can be tracked via your online account. Please note: Students must be 3 months of age by September 1 to apply.

Required supporting documents vary by grade. 

Transcripts are required for students applying for Grades 1-12. If your child has had school experience prior to Kindergarten, we require those transcripts as well.

One Teacher Recommendation is required for students applying for Grades 1-6.  If your child has had school experience prior to Kindergarten, we will require a recommendation as well. 

Three Teacher Recommendations are required for Grades 7-12 from a math teacher, an English teacher, and a principal or school counselor.

ISEE Admission Assessment (School Code 210957) or SSAT Testing (School Code 1495)  is required for Grades 6-12. Barrie School will accept another nationally standardized achievement test result if it has been completed in the past calendar year. Acceptable alternatives include the CTP or MAP assessments. Please contact the admission office for additional details.

Interview

All toddler applicants (age 3 months by September 1) with their parents are required to attend an interview. After applications have been received, the Admission Office will contact applicants to schedule the interview.
