A progressive education for 12 months - grade 12

Summer Assignments 2022

Grades 6-12

Summer work is assigned at teachers’ discretion. Students should complete assignments for the classes they will take in the 2022-2023 school year. For example, rising 7th grade students should complete the Humanities 7 and Math 7 (or appropriate math class) summer work.

Assignments are due to the appropriate teacher on the first day of the 2022-2023 school year: Wednesday, August 31.

Grades 4-5

We have designed three pieces to the summer work, all of which will be very familiar to the students from our class.  Please read through them carefully and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.  While Mike, Lorena and Beth will be in training this summer, Lainie will be available to answer any questions from you or the students.

Grades 1-3

Practice, practice, practice! This is what it takes for students to build skills and gain confidence in their ability in all academic areas. We are suggesting some summer activities that will help your child retain and possibly strengthen skills this summer.

The Book Report is the only assignment that is due in September; however, the following activities are suggestions that will help keep your child’s mind engaged, skills sharp, and confidence strong. Consider looking through these websites and choose one or two activities for your child to complete regularly. Setting aside a regular time to work on these activities will ensure success. Possible times could be just after breakfast, while dinner is being prepared, while riding in the car, or just before bedtime.

We hope all of you have a glorious summer!
