Welcome to The Barrie School online! We hope you will take
the time to explore the site and learn more about Barrie's
tradition and history.
Faculty and staff at The Barrie School are highly educated and
talented professionals who maintain their academic excellence
through onsite and off-site professional development. The Lower
School faculty are certified Montessori-trained educators. Barrie’s
teachers are scientists, artists, playwrights, and athletes
in their own right.
Barrie’s environment supports all facets of a student’s
learning experience, including their academic, social, athletic,
and artistic development. Our low student to faculty ratio provides
a unique opportunity for each student to grow and develop in
an individualized program.
Barrie’s experiential
learning program sets us apart from other schools. The program
provides students with the opportunities to employ practical
applications from lessons learned in the classroom.
The diversity of the Barrie community gives our students first-hand
exposure to other cultures, languages, and religions, which
