Barrie Community Association (BCA)

The purpose and mission of the Barrie Community Association (BCA) is to foster school spirit and promote partnership, cooperation and communication between its members. Led by volunteers, the BCA is an integral part of Barrie School that encourages awareness and understanding of the school’s mission, its goals and objectives through communication and education. It is not a lobbying group and it does not participate in school policy making. The

BCA, most accurately, can be described as a service/fundraising organization.

Membership in the Association is open to everyone in the Barrie Community: parents, faculty, staff, trustees, students, and alumni. The BCA is managed by a board of elected volunteers: two Co-Chairs (from different Divisions of the School), a Secretary, and a Treasurer. The BCA Executive Committee also includes five Division Representatives, and one or more Auction Chairs. In addition, each class or grade within the School is supported by one or more BCA Class/Grade Representatives who serve, among other things, as conduits for information between the BCA and its parent members. Below is a list of current members of the BCA Executive Committee.
