Welcome Barrie Alumni
In the cases of schools across the country, alumni represent the essence of a school’s spirit and community. The bond is so close that alumni have often been willing to offer insight about colleges and universities, suggestions for career paths, finding places to live, and even help secure jobs, apprenticeships, and internships. Additionally, alumni gather on their campuses and at other locations for special events, reunions, homecomings, dinners, and much more.
It is important for all alumni to stay connected to one another and to the School that was so much a part of their formative years. To accomplish this, we are currently working to establish the Barrie Alumni Association (BAA) which will provide graduates with an opportunity to stay in touch with fellow alums, share information about themselves, and to receive updates and news about their alma mater. But in order to make this happen, we need to hear from you!
Alumni are encouraged to Return and Reconnect with Barrie by:
- Attending Reunion and other events on campus
- Volunteering at Barrie
- Volunteering for the BAA:
- Class Correspondent (maintain classmates’ names, addresses, and e-mails; gather news from classmates for publication on website)
- Event Coordinator (help plan and/or host general alumni events)
- Reunion Committee (help plan your class’ reunion)
- Networking with other alumni
- Mentoring a current student or recent graduate
- Participating in ongoing campus activities including guest speaking, guest teaching, and alumni panels.
- Sharing your news for Class Notes and/or
- Featuring in the “Alumni/a of the Month” section of the Nautilus eNewsletter.
Our goal is to make this page of the website your main resource for finding out about alumni news and events, updates about former classmates, and happenings at Barrie. Whether you graduated ten years ago or just last year each alumnus has a lot to offer Barrie and assist in continuing the legacy and traditions of Barrie
