Visiting The Barrie School Campus


Admission Tours

Families are invited to explore the many academic and extra-curricular opportunities that The Barrie School has to offer by arranging an admission tour. We encourage families applying to the Lower School to attend this initial tour. Middle and Upper School families are also encouraged to attend this tour along with the applicant. The tour offers visitors the opportunity to experience The Barrie School in action, visit our equestrian center and see the natural beauty of our campus.

The tours are approximately one and a half hours in duration. Families should come to the Office of Admission, located in the Main Administration Building, on the Upper Campus

Directions to The Barrie School

From the Capital Beltway, Rt. 495:
 
Exit at Georgia Ave., Rt. 97 North
Proceed on Georgia Ave. for approximately 3 miles
Turn right onto Layhill Road
Continue on Layhill for approximately 1 mile
The Barrie School is located on the left, 13500 Layhill Road
(We are directly across the street from the Indian Springs Country Club)

From the Metro:

Take Metro Red Line toward Glenmont and exit at the Glenmont Station.

Take any of the following Ride-On Buses:

We are located directly across the street from the Indian Springs Country Club on Layhill Road. To determine departure times for Ride-On Buses from the Glenmont Metro Station please call, 240.777.7433.
