Transportation
Bus Service
 Barrie's own fleet of school buses are inspected regularly by the Maryland State Department of Transportation and our own school mechanics. Individual bus routes are determined each year based on demand, contracts we receive and the school's capacity to provide the requested service.

Carpool
Many families participate in informal carpools arranging for
drop-off and pick-up from their neighborhoods. Once a student
is enrolled we can provide family names, addresses and phone
numbers for those in the same area interested in carpool. Please contact the Office of Admission at 301.576.2800 for this information.
Student Drivers
Upper School students who are licensed drivers may bring their
car to school with permission from their parents and the administration.
School Hours
Lower School Age 2 – Grade 3: 9:00 * - 3:10 with option of Extended Day in morning and afternoon
Lower School Grades 4-5: 8:30 ** - 3:20 with option of Extended Day in morning and afternoon
Middle School: 8:10 - 3:20 with option of Extended Day in afternoon
Upper School: 8:10 - 3:25
* Children begin to enter the classroom at 8:30 am
** Children may begin to enter the classroom at 8:10 am
