The growth and development process that starts in the
Lower School continues as students enter Barrie's Middle
School, which offers a stimulating and rigorous
curriculum with unique learning opportunities beyond
the classroom. Barrie emphasizes the humanities in its
curriculum, a combined study of literature, history,
social science, and the arts. Class size is kept deliberately
small; the average class size is 10 students. However,
it is not unusual to see as few as 5 or 6 students in
a classroom.
